My name is Victorious Osilama, a foodie at heart, lover of God and the blogger in my family.
I’m a Christian Lifestyle Blogger, I’m also a Chorister, Sunday School Teacher and I love acting.
I compose songs and illustrate, i.e. I sketch, I design clothes.
I write novels and plays.
I have a wild imagination and I love being creative.
I blog about everything that deals with the Christian lifestyle, which boils down to basically everything.
Everything ignored, whispered, avoided with a smile, everything that we push down and cover up with our church wears and mirror perfected smiles.
There’s so much quiet about the struggles that believers face and what it is that being a Christian entail.
Not just the smiles given in churches and the whole “bless you Sister,” “bless you brother,” but the truth behind it all, that serving God takes a lot of commitment and service.
Relationships, marriages, peer pressure, drugs, sex, FOOD! and a whole lot more happen in the affairs of believers.
I use my blog to talk about it all, to talk about the Christian lifestyle.
I know what it is like falling deep into depression and feeling like there’s no one to turn to and having the same God that we look away from still be the one to save us.
I enjoy my relationship with God and writing about believers in general brings a satisfaction and fulfillment like nothing else.
That is entirely my life; giving God praise.
Shabach is a Hebrew word, it means praising God with a loud voice.
Connecting lives and refreshing minds about God makes me happy that I’m being a Vessel for Him and contributing to the lives of the masses.
I enjoy writing about everything and anything, I love sharing my own experiences and hearing others talk about theirs and most importantly, growing out of these struggles together.
We are the ones meant to be strong in struggles and difficulties, and we are the ones who still bottle it up.
We are only stronger when we lay it all down and realize that all we need and got is God.
My blog came up when I was fighting my own battles, battles that didn’t require me fighting but leaning on God.
I had always known God from a young age, grew up in the church, but I didn’t know God for myself.
I made really bad choices and let myself down, even in sinking deep, there was something I just couldn’t do, you know.
I laughed at myself sometimes, being all messed up and still holding on to dignity. To me, it felt like dignity but it wasn’t.
It was hope. Hope that through not giving myself all in, that things would turn around.
I even tried to bribe God. Yea, funny when I think about it.
But he can’t be bribed, or manipulated.
I had to totally surrender and let him be either all or nothing at all to me.
Food is what got me hooked on writing on Sophia Patel’s blog, yea, foodie nature.
But my foodie nature is also included in my Shabach lifestyle.
And it’s all worth it.
