Hi, my name’s Nazira and I write my fashion blog, The LH Girl.  I love sharing outfit ideas and inspiration to help you stay on trend, look stylish and learn how to pick the best pieces for your wardrobe without breaking the bank.

In this post, I’m going to teach you how to elevate your hoodie.  We all have one or maybe more, and they’re the best, most comfortable piece of clothing you could ever own.  Normally, they’re reserved for those days we all have, where we don’t feel like dressing up and just lounging around or those all important gym days.

Today, I’m sharing 3 ways to style your hoodie that’ll inspire you to get creative and wear it in ways you never thought were possible.  But they work so well and you’ll definitely turn heads….for the right reasons!

Look 1

PULL&BEAR Mickey Mouse Hoodie (£29.99)

TOPSHOP Satin Skirt (£35.00)

AND OTHER STORIES Plain Coat (£169.00)

ZARA Pearl Mules (£39.99)

Look 1 is very feminine but with a hint of edge that is brought to this outfit by the hoodie.   I paired this cute Mickey Mouse hoodie with a satin slip skirt because I think the contrast in textures just works really well together.  The satin skirt and the pearly, kitten heel mules add that luxurious feel to this outfit.  Finish off with a coat that pulls in a hint of blue from the Mickey Mouse print and you have yourself an outfit that’s ladylike but also informal at the same time.

I should point out that this particular hoodie is actually from the men’s section, so don’t be afraid to see what you can find there.  Often, the fit is a lot more oversized and actually looks a lot better because let’s be honest, who even wears a tight fitted hoodie!?

Look 2

 H&M Grey Hoodie (£17.99)

TOPSHOP Hayden Jeans (£40.00)

OFFICE Veja Riobranco Trainers (£80.00)

MANGO Contrast Flap Trench (£139.99)

I’m sure everyone owns a grey hoodie!  Looks like the most boring piece of clothing, but is the most comfiest.  You could literally just live in it!  It’s like a hug.  So I decided to keep this look casual and a lot more laid back with the boyfriend jeans and trainers.  And to elevate this grey hoodie, I added a classic trench coat.  The trench coat is a timeless classic and what was once always seen styled with a suit and briefcase, is now a piece of clothing that is both versatile and transitional.  So, if you haven’t got one already, now is the time to get one.

Look 3

ZARA Basic Hoodie (£15.99)

MANGO Mixed Leggings (£19.99)

ASOS Biker Boots (£35.00)

TOPSHOP Heritage Blazer (£69.00)

Look 3 is a little more on the sophisticated side with the tweed blazer.  I’ve kept the same tones throughout this outfit as it gives a much more put together feel and have added this seasons leather and biker boots.  Leather is everywhere, from trousers to shirts and even dresses so wearing your hoodie with a pair of leather leggings is perfect.  I was thinking knee high boots but couldn’t resist the chunky biker boots, again another on trend piece, and the gold metal work compliments the tones in the hoodie and blazer too.

Which one’s your favourite?

I hope you found this post helpful and it inspires you to get creative with your hoodie.  If you want more inspiration on outfit ideas and latest fashion trends, check out my blog, The LH Girl and follow me on Instagram for daily updates.
