Hello! I can’t believe the first month of 2017 is nearly over! I have never done this before, but January has brought me some items / things which I really love, so though it would be nice to share with you guys! Hope you enjoy it.

If you read my Sanctuary Spa Advent Calendar Review, you would find that I received an awful lot of products to try out. One of my favourites is the Luxurious Body Butter, as it is rich but does not feel greasy or heavy on my skin, which many thick moisturisers do. I have a 50ml pot, but once I finish that I will be purchasing the full size, 300ml for £10.

Although the Urban Decay Perversion mascara is my go – to, and will be for a while, I thought its time to try a different mascara. I have heard rave reviews from Smashbox, so bought their “X Rated”  mascara.I was pleasantly surprised, it makes my eyelashes so long and lasts all day. For £4 for the travel size, it is definitely worth a buy.

I received this perfume for Christmas, and I must shout from the rooftops how much I love it. I am one to constantly re-apply perfume, but with this I do not need to. Smells lovely as well, like a floral scent, perfect all year round. I don’t know where this can be purchased, but try it out if you can *unfortunately I can’t send scents over*.

As I mentioned in my What I Got For Christmas post, I said how I received the Mac Mineralize Skinfinish powder. It is  long lasting, makes my skin nice and smooth and keeps my foundation looking good all day. It may need a touch up after about 7 hours, but that is a small compromise for what is a very good powder.

I am not a reader, I am a more, “watch the film, and eventually plan to read the book but never do” kind of person. I’m not even kidding, its taken 2 years to read the first 6 chapters of To Kill A Mockingbird. However, I bought Didier Drogba’s autobiography almost a year ago, forgot about it, and re-visited it again this month. For anyone who doesn’t know who Didier Drogba is, he is a football player who is considered a Chelsea legend. What makes his book so interesting is his life outside of the sport, from growing up in a one room flat in France with 6 members of his family, to ending a civil war in his home country, Ivory Coast, and forming his own charity, aiding children in poverty in his home city. Such a good read, even for those who are not football fans.

Although it came out in late 2016, I did not watch my film of the month, Arrival, until January. It was so much better than I expected it to be! For anyone who doesn’t know what its about, its basically about aliens coming to Earth, with a language professor (Amy Adams) and a scientist (Jeremy Renner) attempting to communicate with them to understand their motives for coming. It’s such an out there idea, with a plot twist at the end, but works incredibly well. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it. P.s. This film reminded me why I love Jeremy Renner so much.

What were your favourites this month?

I want to watch that movie too. I’m not as interested in most movies now a days because the plot sucks for all of them or the remakes are terribly. This one sounded pretty decent though lol.

I completely know what you mean, films get more and more predictable, but Arrival is completely original, if you watch it I’d love to see what you think 🙂
