Hello! This month, although I didn’t purchase much, I have fell in love with many things, hence why I am going to share them with you now. Hope you enjoy!

Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion

My skin has periods when it can become excessively dry, becoming flaky and horrible to work with. It also makes sure my makeup doesn’t sit right and looks cakey – it needed sorting. I tried the Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion sample for my cousins wedding and remembered it resolved all dryness within 24 hours, which is very impressive. I bought the full size bottle 2 weeks ago and my skin is the most moisturised its been in months! The consistency of the product is very thick, and absorbs into the skin slowly, but does not have a greasy look or feel which a lot of moisturisers do. Overall, great product which will be repurchased.

Just Smile London Activated Charcoal

Just Smile London Activated Charcoal

I have always been self conscious about my teeth, because I am a chronic tea and coffee drinker. However, Just Smile London came at the perfect time with their Activated Charcoal. Just dip a wet toothbrush into the charcoal powder and brush in circle motions for 2 minutes twice a day. I was pleasantly to find that there was not an awful taste or aftertaste, just a slightly gritty feeling that goes away as soon as the mouth has been rinsed. I have been using this for 6 days now and I can certainly start to see a difference. Use the code SOPHIA10 for 10% off!

WHY DID I NOT START TO WATCH THIS SOONER?! I genuinely thought that it would have been too complicated or “adult” for me to watch but I understand everything, and it is awesome. When watching it, it is so clear why they’ve won so many awards, because everything is so slick. For anyone who doesn’t know what its about , without giving anything away, Kevin Spacey’s and Robin Wright’s characters (Francis and Claire Underwood) are married, and they both will do ANYTHING to get into power. Believe me, nothing is off the table. Every episode leaves a wow feeling, purely to the actions of these two. Even if you’re not into politics, it is still a great watch and I would highly recommend it.

 13 Reasons Why

I just couldn’t not mention this show, because everyone is talking about it. I am not even one to binge shows (my distraction levels are really high), but I watched all 13 episodes in two days, it was just that gripping. For anyone that has never heard of 13 Reasons Why, it is based on a book by Jay Asher, and is about a girl, Hannah Baker committing suicide. Before she dies however, she records 13 tapes, explaining the reasons why she ultimately killed herself. This thriller leaves everyone, characters and myself, asking questions, but highly emphasises the importance of speaking out if you feel this way. A truly gripping show and one of the best I’ve watched in a while.

Everything 5 Pounds

Everything 5 Pounds

As part of a late mothers’ day present, my mum was in dire need of a new bag for work. I checked out everything5pounds.com and let her choose a bag. I know, I know, buying from a reputable brand is way better, but everything5pounds.com only sells products that did not sell in store (for example I bought a pair of jeans off the site and they turned out to be Bershka jeans, still with the label on, usually retailing at £25.99). The quality of all the products I have bought on there are surprisingly really good and durable, which is what I especially look for in clothing and bags. This bag itself, although a brand I haven’t heard of, has held up incredibly well with daily use, and it quite spacious considering the price. I highly recommend you check out the site and see what you think.

Is there anything you have been loving this month?

*I received the Just Smile London Activated Charcoal at a discounted price, but all opinions are my own and honest*

The book was a massive hit when it came about too, and apparently there are quite a few changes in the tv series so worth a read of the original I guess, (but the series was one to watch immediately)!

Great post. My 7 year old daughter has very sensitive skin and it is always itchy. We have tried so many products but none helped until we tried Aveeno. It is a saviour. I’m also going to check out 13 reasons why now too, sounds fab 😊

its such a rich formula, and not harsh at all, I love it! I agree in it being a true saviour. Its definitely a good watch, although it has a very heavy story line, it is completely gripping, let me know what you think! 🙂

I’ve heard a lot of charcoal teeth whitening. I think I’m going to have to try it!

My skin gets dry too! Might have to give Aveeno moisturizer too!

    Much Love,

I’m so afraid to watch 13 reasons why, based on lots of the things I’ve read about it. I’ve been loving Riverdale tho on Netflix!

It’s certainly not a light hearted programme, but it is made really well considering the subject matter. I’m debating whether to watch Riverdale actually, I’ve only heard good things from it!

Oh wow, I didn’t even know that 13 Reasons Why was a book before a tv show! Very cool. I also loved it and ended up binge watching it in one day. I liked it too and it really made me think about access to mental health help while kids are in school. It also goes to show how little parents could know about their kids’ lives :/ On the another note, House of Cards is amazing and I can’t wait to watch the next season :))

It was! Me too, it started with one episode at 3 am and then the rest of the season 2 days later! It highlights the issues so well, and the fact that parents are so unaware is actually worrying. Can’t wait to catch up on House of Cards either!
