How I Edit My Photos

Hey all! Being an excellent blogger comes with the responsibility of posting great photos (am I right)? For this reason, I have so many different apps to produce the best looking photo. I’m going to share my secrets – although there isn’t many inside secrets it could give you some ideas.

Pixlr:

This was my go-to editing app back in the day. It is so easy to use and quick and easy to navigate, offering the widest collection of filters. I personally love the smoothing and healing options as it takes away the overly sharp edges.

VSCO:

This is my holy grail editing app! It holds every function anyone would pretty much need to edit a photo (tinting, highlights and shadows, clarity etc..), and is more professional than Pixlr. There is also the option to purchase filter packages but I am more than happy with the filters they offer. I personally set pre-set filters for quick and easy editing.

Filter: A6

Temperature: -4

Contrast: +1

Fade: +4

Highlights Save: +6

Filter: HB2

Exposure: +1

Saturation: +2

Highlights: +3

Filter: HB1 +6

Exposure: +1

Contrast: +2

Adobe Photoshop Express:

Although I don’t use this app for much, it is great for frames. I personally use this app for my Instagram.

This is my holy grail app. Since using this the quality of my pictures have improved tenfold. For some reason, although the lens is the same, the photos are much less grainy and a higher standard. I highly recommend this if you want easy assess to a camera.

Facetune 2:

This app, although controversial as it can create an “unrealistic picture” is actually okay if used the right way. Obviously it is not right to edit your photos to the point they become fake, but this app is good for enhancing photos. I especially like the “whitening” effect to restore a bad background.

Is there anything editing apps you live by?
