Trends for Autumn ’18

September 30, 2018

Hey guys! To me, there is nothing better than wrapping up warm after a long day with a hot water bottle and blankets while watching some trashy tv. That is when you know Autumn is here (or you have the flu). Although it is cold outside, you can still stay in touch with the latest Autumn trends and what’s hot right now. Here are the top looks on the catwalk this year.

Animal Prints

This is the most popular trend this year, with leopard and zebra print making a comeback. As a statement print, it definitely stands out, usually sported with a simple outfit and flat shoes. Just a leopard print bag or shoe could really dress up an outfit, transforming day wear into night wear. I myself am not a huge fan of animal prints but a simple addition of an accessory can really keep you on trend this autumn.

Victoria Beckham

Calvin Klein

Tom Ford

I am so glad that boots are back this autumn. 70s and big boots are back in, which I love as they are perfect in the wet weather. This year, the most popular form of boots are ankle boots, kitten heels and knee high boots, with laces, snakeskin, animal prints, cowboy style and white ankle boots making a reappearance.

Emporio Armani

This is one of my favourite trends as there is nothing I want to do more than wrap up warm in the winter. With modesty clothing also being hot this year too, covering up is now in fashion. Black roll necks are in, as well as mixing textures and wide leg trousers. It is also recommended to always have a white shirt, as you can layer sheer materials and knitwear on this staple item.

Brown is in guys. The classic 70s shade is back, with brown being the new black. The colour is now popular for jackets, knitwear, flared trousers, you name it. Brown corduroy is in, especially as suits, and is recommended to wear with a small splash of colour, for example fuchsia or green.

Autumn can be seen as a little dull, as the days get shorter and a shade of grey fills the sky. However, glitter and sparkle are in, making an outfit pop. Designers have jazzed up their clothing this season with an addition of sequins and glitter to their clothing, and it has become increasingly popular.

Patent Leather

For anyone that does not know what patent leather is, it is regular leather with an added glossy surface. This look is very easy to achieve, with patent leather bags and boots always remaining popular. Coloured patent leather has become very popular, as it gives an edge to the statement fabric.

What trends are look forward to this Autumn?

I’m not great at keeping up (or caring) about trends…but chunky boots and animal print, I’m so on board with that! Time to shopping I think! Great post 😊 x
