Brand Focus: Cari’s Closet

Hi guys! In the midst of winter, there is nothing better than crawling up into bed with a hot drink and watching a cheesy film. But for those days when you have to go out, I love to do it in style. I was so happy when Cari’s Closet got in touch, wanting me to review one of their products, as when I was scrolling through their website I loved this jacket. Here are my thoughts.

Website Description:

“Our cropped, luxurious faux fur jacket the ‘Lani’ falls just against your waistline for a trendy yet classic look. The soft, high quality faux fur oozes luxury and elegance and fits like a glove and hugs your body. The smooth, silky satin lining feels gorgeous sitting lightly on your skin. Our cropped design allows you to dress the ‘Lani’ up or down and still look as chic as ever. Pair it with some gorgeous high waist jeans for a day time look or make it a statement piece with a dress and heels on a night out. “

Appearance:

This jacket is a beautiful deep red / wine tone, perfect for those wintery months, adding a smidge of colour into a gray, white and black wardrobe. The faux fur feel is so so soft, paired with the silky satin feel of the inner lining. Honestly I have not worn a coat that has felt this cosy in a long time, and the weight is justified by the sheer warmth of the jacket. What I love most however, is the lack of buttons or zip, but loops down the length of the jacket, giving it a flush and seamless finish.

What to style this with:

Personally, I believe that this is quite a statement jacket, therefore would need to be paired with a pretty basic outfit. Match this jacket with a pair of boots, skinny jeans, basic tee tucked in (or a jumper) and you’re onto a winner.

Pros:

  • So much warmth
  • Added colour into a winter wardrobe
  • Quality feel
  • Packaged beautifully (yes I do notice these things)
  • Can quite easily dress up an outfit
  • Wide range of colours available

Cons:

  • Arms are a bit puffier than I would have liked, especially as I ordered a size small and my wrists are tiny
  • On the expensive side (£52.99)
  • Would not like to wear it in the rain (British weather is unpredictable)

Would I buy?

In all honesty, if I was not a student budget and I was in need of a coat with extreme warmth, then I would have to say yes. The comfort is astonishing and it is a lot more versatile than one would think. However, it does somewhat “drown me” due to its puffed up nature and is more expensive that I would like. Overall however, a great product.

  1. That’s so cool that companies gift you their products to review! The colour really suits you but I 100% understand what you mean about the unpredictable British weather. It really puts me off buying any coats without a hood!
