Hello! The days of blogging tags are not over, and there are so many reasons why they are great! Blogging tags are such a great way to find out more about the person behind the content – and building a rapport is step 1 towards creating a great blog. Hopefully, it might stop me from procrastinating too. Here are my responses to the Procrastinating Beauty Blogger Tag!
1. Name a beauty regimen that you rarely do?
Definitely steaming my face! My skin is so hydrated and soft after doing it, but I’ve slipped into bad habits I guess, now I only do it once a month or so instead of once a week.
2. Is washing your make-up brushes something that you do regularly?
I would really like to say yes, but in reality… no. As most of my brushes do not get daily use, they really don’t need constant cleaning (as bad as that sounds). Realistically, I clean them every 3 weeks. There are so many ways to wash brushes too – I used to find it so tedious but now it is so satisfying. Also, knowing that all the nasty germs are not on your face is great!
3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish?
Not long at all. It’s a personal pet peeve – as soon as there’s a chip, the nail polish comes off. The amount of times I have worn a plaster on a nail that is chipped so it doesn’t bug me is unreal. I now wear gel polish if I choose to paint them, so they last at least 10 days before they begin to chip.
4. How long will you put off buying/replacing a beauty product, even if you need it?
I’m in that bad habit of only buying a product when it has finished. If I desperately need a product, (e.g. foundation) I’ll buy it straight away. I only realised recently that there are sell-by dates on beauty products? I usually stopped using them if they smelt funny! That little “6m” or “12m” on the back is usually an indicator of how long you should be using it. However, when a product is pricey, I definitely do not want to be throwing it away after 6 months.
5. What is your worst beauty habit?
Probably not cleaning my brushes/beauty blender. I know it’s SUPER bad for my skin but I just find it a chore. Also, tidying my makeup collection up. When I wear makeup for work, I never end up putting it back in its home. Although an easy job, I love everything being in a convenient place
6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?
Putting my clothes away after I’ve worn them – they join the pile of clothes by my bed. I am meaning to tidy them up but the pile gets bigger and bigger. My boyfriend gets so annoyed because his side is always perfect. The older I have got, the more outfits I get through a day. Pjs, work clothes, comfy clothes, out out clothes – the list goes on. For this reason, the clothes ALWAYS pile up!
7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready to the last minute?
Depends on where I’m going – I’ll either wait until the last minute or end up ready with 5 hours to spare.
8. Can you commit to spending bans?
I am pretty savvy with money so will only shop if there is a designated reason too. I also live for sales – there’s nothing like a bargain. I have written many posts on saving money, and why it is so beneficial. I need to justify spending money on something that is not essential.
9. How organized are your make-up and nail polish collections?
Fairly organised, I’ve got draws for each one. But, after getting ready in the morning most of my makeup ends up chilling in my dressing table. Oops!
