Dating can be so difficult during a pandemic. Whether you are single or in a relationship – staying in PJs all day and only talking about what’s for dinner kills conversation. Sometimes we need to dress up a little and make the most of our loved ones. Here are some great date ideas for indoors, so you won’t miss going out for a while!

Grab A Takeaway
Something as simple as not cooking and watching a film is all you need to make the most of time together. Forget about washing up and eat until you cannot any more. Make the most of good food and take a well earned break.

Transform Your Room Into a Cinema
Grab the snacks – use a bed sheet / duvet cover as a projector screen and watch until you fall asleep. You do not even have to talk, just allocating time for one another is all you need to keep the relationship going strong.
Cheese and Wine Night
As I like to put it, it will always be cheaper than going out. And in the comfort of your own home! The cheese and wine can be as snooty as you like, or it can be a bunch of your favourites. Grab some figs, grapes and complimentary ingredients and make the night your own.
Go Through Old Photos
Chances are, there are things your loved one doesn’t know. And loved ones should be the ones that know everything. Venture up into the loft and find all those childhood memories hidden away. Spend an evening having a giggle about all the bad outfits and embarrassing moments.

Build a Fort
You are never too old to build a fort. We have all done it at some point, and it is so much better than the couch. Get all of your bedding out and make a “KEEP OUT” sign or a club flag to totally live in the moment. Grab some snack you were not allowed as a child and have some fun.
Save for Later:
Indoor Picnics
This has been getting me through lockdown. Everything is better with food layed out and arranged pretty. Do not feel guilty about what you eat and enjoy the snacks!
Have a Spa Day
In a lockdown, and with nothing to go out for, it is so easy to not look after yourself to the max. Make your own or buy spa treats and do everything you can to relax. Turn your phones off, ignore work – robes and slippers compulsory.

Do Some Baking
We all have our favourite sweet treats and most of us do not allocate some time to experiment in the kitchen. Grab a cake mix, or grab whatever you have in the house – but most importantly, have a laugh. Hey, you might even end up having a flour fight. You could also have a cupcake contest – healthy competition is always a good thing.
I know I have mentioned a lot about living with a partner, but times like these do really make it difficult to get on the dating scene at the minute. Match Me Happy is a platform where you can explore options and get to know others, for free! Dating should not be expensive, or time-intensive – it should all come naturally. Try An At-home Kit
Do something creative together, you never know, it could be a masterpiece. Try a candle making kit, soap kit or a basic pottery kit and make it a statement piece in your home. Not only does it add a special touch but it is a reminder of something you create together.
Paint a Piece For The Home
Leading on from this, you don’t need to be an artist to create something personal. Call it abstract! Use both your skills to the finest to create something you can be proud of and both call your own. You never know, it could spark an inner talent! One of my favourite date night ideas for indoors!
Make Gifts For One Another
Making hampers or gift sets for one another can really show your partner how much you care. Set a date in the future for handing the gifts out and making it as special as possible. Gifts do not have to just be for an occasion but as a sign of thoughtfulness. So get planning!

Plan For The Future!
Relationships always evolve. They just do. Set goals and plans for the future, and get excited. It could be anything about moving home, redecorating, expanding your family, going on holiday – the list is endless. Get excited about life after lockdown and make the most of all the free time!
