Hey guys! After the success of my Halloween post, the thought of doing this again was a no brainer. Getting a group of bloggers together to all contribute on a post is truly lovely, and I am so grateful for everyone taking part. My favourite thing about Christmas is everyone being in the family spirit. Seeing your loved ones, when everyone is busy – it’s the one time of year we can just all postpone our stresses momentarily to enjoy the moment. Christmas markets
One of my favourite things about Christmas is visiting the many Christmas markets that pop up around most cities from late November onwards. London has its fair share of festive markets – Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, Southbank Winter Market, Christmas by the River, Christmas in Leicester Square and so many more. These markets usually feature festively decorated stalls that sell everything from festive wreaths & ornaments to unusual handmade gifts and from festive treats to local food delicacies. Some of the bigger markets even have live entertainment, their own ice rinks and a number of fairground rides. It is a fun atmosphere all round and there is something for the whole family to enjoy. I think these festive markets are a lovely way to get into the Christmas spirit and if you haven’t been to one, try to visit one this year.

My favorite thing about Christmas is the festive feeling, if I am honest. Seeing all of the Christmas lights, everyone with their decorated trees, and all of the little decorations in each town really highlights the joyous mood for me. As my family is located in America and I am in the UK, I tend to focus on the little beautiful things around me, and it becomes less of a family related holiday and more of a lovely celebration at the end of a year. I got to travel to Bilbao Spain this year in December and see all of the lovely lights and Christmas markets there – it was a treat!

Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year! It’s so festive and just full of beautiful things to see. Streets and buildings decorated and lit up creating a wonderful atmosphere.
I love to explore the markets and other seasonal activities that pop up at this time but, my most favourite things to do are attending the Christmas service at my church, spending time with family and watching Christmas telly. Let’s not forget the good ‘ol traditional Christmas dinner with leftovers for days!

My favorite thing about Christmas and the holidays is being able to spend quality time with family. My husband and I are both very fortunate to work for a company that shuts down from Christmas to New Year’s, which is very helpful for traveling. Since I enjoy cooking, I’m also looking forward to making a (very small) Christmas dinner and baking desserts for the two of us!

The smell of pine cones and baked goods are in the air! This can only mean one thing. Christmas is near and it is one of the best holidays of the year. I have always had amazing experiences with Christmas and there are countless things I favor about this holiday.
One of my favorite things are Christmas candles. The smells of roasted chestnuts and cinnamon creates such a warm aroma.
Some other things that I truly treasure during this holiday are Christmas trees and movies. These are so fun to decorate and watch. I particularly love The Grinch! Spending time with family and friends is also an important part of this wonderful holiday. The Christmas season is what you make of it and it can be filled with so much joy.

I love Christmas, everything about it makes me happy. I love the down time that the school holidays gives us as a family. No more rushing around hunting for lost school jumpers or making packed lunches. No more alarms, or having to leave the house at a certain time. It’s like we’re in our own little sparkly bubble for a couple of weeks.
It’s a time of new PJs, fluffy socks, snuggles and snacks in front of twinkly lights and family movies.
My absolute favourite thing though is a bit random. It’s laying the table for the whole family ready for our Christmas lunch. It’s the only time of year we’re allowed to use my Mum’s super special plates, cutlery, and glasses and I absolutely adore them! It takes me a good couple of hours to lay it so it looks beautifully festive. When Christmas lunch is as amazing as our Mum’s is, it deserves a spectacular setting.
We spend hours around that table eating, drinking, talking and laughing. It genuinely is the heart of our family Christmas.
