Hi guys, I don’t know about you but March feels like it has gone on forever! Hope you are all staying safe! Today’s post is based on staying occupied while we all have some time off – here’s what I get up to day to day.
11am – I wake up. I am not going to pretend I am a morning person, quite frankly that is the last thing I am. Once I have convinced myself to stay awake, I go downstairs and make a cup of tea and go through my phone to catch up on everything.
1pm – Once again, I am not a morning person so breakfast does not really happen, but brunch does. After a couple hours of studying (my uni course is not that intense, so a couple of hours a day will do the trick) I’ll have something to eat.
2pm – This is usually an hour for doing housework or getting jobs done. I have a lot of rooms in my house so as soon as everything is cleaned, it is time to start all over again. My Grandad is also in hospital at the moment so I usually have to get an update as no one is allowed to visit.
4pm – This is my free hour. Usually I will do some painting or catch up with blogging work – whatever is required on the day. I usually have a cheeky snack too (usually a fruit smoothie).
5pm – News Update. This is more crucial than ever, and as a business student I can’t help but say this whole situation (and how we cope with it) is intriguing.
6pm – Me and my Dad have been working on getting healthier during the lockdown, so this is our hour to exercise. As I don’t need to put on weight, I am working on building stamina and control my breathing on cardio. My Dad on the other hand is all about weights and core so he’s working on that. We usually do this while watching The Biggest Loser – that way we get the motivation from the trainers.
7pm – After exercising, to be honest, I don’t really want to do too much. For this reason, me and my Dad watch an episode of The West Wing – we are halfway through now, and every time I watch it I am amazed by the quality of it.
8pm – At this time I usually make dinner, which we eat when we are hungry. Since I have no time constraints now I can now take the time to cook – brilliant as it is something I really enjoy. Me and my Mum usually alternate the days we cook too to give one of us a night off.
10pm – At this we usually just catch up on soaps, watch an episode of Homeland (we have caught up and it’s the last series which is depressing) or watch a film. I have seen every recent film I want to see so its now a matter of going through the classics!
12am – My night usually finishes with another cuppa and watching quiz shows with my Dad and ranting about the world (anyone else do this?)
2pm – At this point I am considering why the hell I have stayed downstairs so late and head to bed. I start with my skincare routine and then crawl into bed, making my to do list for the next day (there is always something to do in my world). I usually just watch Youtube videos and chat with my other half until I fall asleep (hoping I’ve set my alarms for the next day!)
Hope you are all staying safe and following WTO guidelines to keep us all safe! This is the perfect time to get to do the things you never got around to. What are you up to in this lockdown?
