Hey guys, hope you are having a wonderful summer! I love these posts, (Birthday & Christmas edition) I mean we all love to be a little nosey right? Here’s what I received for my 20th birthday this year. As always, I have no intention of bragging or boasting, I just want to write posts that you enjoy reading).
From my Parents
Although not a regular gift to receive from anyone on your 20t birthday, my parents made me a hamper full of cleaning products; filled with Zoflora, Mr Sheen, a broom and the handy Shake n Vac. As I said, odd for some, but for me, incredibly thoughtful.
Food
- Apple Pie Macaroons
- Cookies and Cream Wafers
- 0 Calorie Vanilla Syrup as a sugar substitute (I am pre-diabetic so thoughtful nonetheless). Check out my post on how to cut down on sugar to find out more!
GANT T-shirt
I love GANT as a brand, and already have 2 sweatshirts which I adore. So when I received this t-shirt I was so happy that my parents had remembered.
Revlon Quick Dry Hairdryer
This is more of a joke because my Mum and Boyfriend absolutely hate using my hairdryer (I have had it since I was 5), since it overheats and has this horrible burning smell. It was something I never got around to replacing, especially as I never used it (for obvious reasons) and that it still worked. But maybe receiving this was a sign that it needed replacing.
Guess Solar Watch
This was my main present, although my parents always insisted on getting me a watch for my 21st, we are going on holiday next year, so the watch got pushed forward a year. After weeks of looking, I finally found the watch I wanted, and my Dad surprised me with it a week before my birthday.
On my birthday, we all went for a fancy dinner – definitely unexpected but the food was so good ahhh.
From my Boyfriend:
I am pretty sure Lewis was counting down the days to my birthday – he gets so excited. To be honest, I was just happy with the card, it was perfectly thoughtful. The first present I opened was a photo frame with 3 photos of me and my parents and one of me and the other half. What was so sweet was the present idea came about when months and months ago I made a throwaway comment about not having any personal items in my room – and there you have it. Lewis also got in touch with my Dad to get access to the photos, which was so so sweet. I also got gig tickets to one of my favourite bands, Mallory Knox in Leicester which I was completely about – I thought he completely ignored me when I mentioned it months ago.
Lewis and my Dad also treated me and my Mum to lunch at Heavenly Desserts – which was really needed on the hot day it was.
From my Flatmate Katie I received a pamper pack with face masks, pore strips, and reed diffusers (Strawberry and Red Fruits / Fresh Cotton and Lily) – absolutely perfect for the stresses of third year!
I was lucky enough to receive quite a bit of money from my loved ones, which I am incredibly grateful for. Here’s how I spent some of the money.
From the money I received from my Boyfriends Family I got a purse that matched my watch – unintentional of course. It just felt right to update it after having a Primark purse for 7 years!
Zara Jumper
Nothing like an impulse buy! The material just felt so good, perfect for lounging around!
Calvin… need I say more?
I am more than grateful for everything I received this year, it was all just so unexpected, but the thoughtfulness of every gift really made it special!
How old are you guys? What did you receive for your 20th birthday?
